Q: Does schema helps sites to rank better or does it help G understand it better?
A: Both. If we understand a page better, we are able to position it more appropriately. That might result in better rankings. (Could be worse if G realizes you don’t meet query)@methode #pubcon
— Marie Haynes (@Marie_Haynes) November 10, 2017
If Google can understand a page better, they can rank them better. Schema helps Google understands the page. Schema itself won’t cause increase rankings, but Google’s ability to use schema means rankings and be more precise and the better they rank those pages. @methode #pubcon
